Foundry Building

The Foundry Consortium has been selected as the operator & master tenant to occupy, program, and maintain The Foundry Building at 101 Rogers St in Cambridge. The Operator will manage the Foundry as a self-sustaining & innovative center that offers a collaborative environment for visual & performing arts, entrepreneurship, technology & workforce education. 

The Operator will curate non-profit, community, & market-rate programs that can coexist within the 50,000 sf building. The Operator, subject to a master lease with the CRA, will perform three major roles:  property management, program management & outreach for an initial term of 5 years, consistent with the Foundry Demonstration Project Plan pursuant to M.G.L. Interactive KSURP Development Map

Explore Kendall Square's development history and see what is planned for the future! The Interactive Development Map illustrates the growth and evolution of Kendall Square since 1980.

The map has three visualization categories: growth by year, development of mixed-land uses, and open space with aggregate square footage. Year-by-year development changes can be seen as buildings become visible when they are constructed and invisible when they are demolished. Additional building information can be found including the building’s land-use, building area, address, and year built. The bar chart totals the square footage of the buildings or open space aggregated in the selected year. See map here...

 

Kendall Square

The Kendall Square Urban Renewal Plan (KSURP) includes a major urban mixed-use project on a 24-acre site within the 42-acre Kendall Square Urban Renewal Area.  In 2015, the CRA and the City of Cambridge Amended the KSURP along with the MXD zoning district to provide additional housing and commercial development in Kendall Square. In 2016 a new Infill Development Concept Plan and proposed design for a new 145 Broadway building were both approved.  Read more...
