The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) is seeking to complement the 3rd & Binney Street Civic Space with temporary vending uses. The CRA seeks mobile food & beverage vendors that provide unique, high-quality, and tasty offerings with clean, sustainable, and safe operations.

The 3rd & Binney site is situated in between the innovation district of Kendall Square and the historic East Cambridge neighborhood. In 2016, the CRA undertook a series of capital improvements to the site. Seating areas, ornamental grasses, and plantings were added. A special paved parking area for two mobile food/beverage vendors was created. Since the civic space opened in June 2016, there have been various events held at 3rd & Binney - all free to the public. Over the past 10 years multiple cohorts of food trucks have utilized the space. 3rd & Binney is centrally located within the growing employment center of East Cambridge and is short walking distance to the Kendall MIT Red Line MBTA stop. 

The site at 3rd & Binney is anticipated to become available on Monday, May 18, 2026. Selected vendors will be required to vend on AT LEAST TWO (2) days per week throughout the 2026 season.

The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority is seeking bids from contractors and subcontractors for the construction project at 1175 Cambridge St, Unit 1. Filed sub-bids will be accepted for Lathing & Plastering, Tile, Glass & Glazing, Painting, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Resilient Floors. General Contractors must be pre-qualified to bid on this project. Sub-bidders do not need to be pre-qualified.

The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority is seeking proposals from contractors to repair damage at 101 Rogers Street, Cambridge (The Foundry) that resulted from a leak. Filed sub-bids will be accepted for plumbing. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is MANDATORY for all sub bidders and general bidders.

The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority is seeking proposals from property owners and/or their representatives for the sale of land in the City of Cambridge that the CRA can utilize for residential development to include below market-rate homeownership units. Responses will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received.

The Cambridge Redevelopment Authority invites qualifications from architectural firms to design the conversion of approximately 4,100 square feet of ground floor office space and approximately 2,500 square feet of basement space at 1175 Cambridge Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts into approximately five ground floor retail spaces along with basement level storage and/or workshop space for the retail tenants.
