2326 Massachusetts Avenue is a development site that the CRA purchased in August 2024. The CRA plans to replace the current structure on the site with a new mixed-income homeownership building.

Calling all developers and architects!  

The CRA is pleased to share our RFP seeking a housing developer/architect team to develop a mixed-income homeownership project at 2326 Massachusetts Avenue. This opportunity comes with the offer of a low-interest construction loan from the CRA for 80% of the total development costs. With housing production slowed in the region, the CRA is forging ahead with its commitment to build affordable homeownership units in Cambridge.

The CRA hosted a virtual event on June 26, 2025 where we shared more about our plans to build homeownership units at 2326 Mass Ave. The feedback received by attendees will help inform the next steps of the project as we select a development partner.
